Garmin CIRQA vs
Amazfit Helio Strap
This is the category’s clearest premium-versus-value matchup. Both promise roughly ten days of battery and subscription-free tracking, but CIRQA charges more for Garmin’s mature training ecosystem while Helio Strap focuses on maximum capability per dollar.

Garmin CIRQA
9.1/10Structured training, Garmin users and subscription-free ownership

Amazfit Helio Strap
8.8/10Budget buyers wanting recovery and workout tools without a required fee
The decision at a glance.
These winners reflect the specific use case—not affiliate commission. A category can favor one band even when the overall recommendation favors the other.
Design, comfort and controls
CIRQA balances a light textile band with a relatively wide sensor pod. The physical button is unusually useful in this category, and the optional upper-arm placement improves stability for intervals, but buyers with small wrists should pay attention to fit. Helio Strap keeps the screenless formula light and simple, with a soft band that works well overnight. Its interaction model is almost entirely app-based, so the phone is part of every deliberate workout workflow.
Health, recovery and sleep
Garmin offers the broadest wellness dashboard here: HRV Status, Body Battery, stress, Pulse Ox, sleep coaching and training readiness live in one history. The trade-off is complexity rather than missing data. BioCharge combines sleep, exertion and recovery into an easy daily signal. The sensor set covers the core health metrics, though the interpretation and long-term baselines are less mature than Garmin or WHOOP.
Workouts and training
It is the strongest general training platform of the five. Connected GPS still inherits phone placement and signal quality, while fast wrist movement can challenge optical HR; the upper arm is the better option for demanding intervals. The combination of sport modes, strength tools and training load is unusually generous at this price. Connected GPS and optical wrist HR remain the main limits for route accuracy and rapid intensity changes.
Apps, integrations and data
Garmin Connect is powerful, mature and integration-rich. It rewards customization and prior Garmin history, but it is less immediately readable than WHOOP’s daily coaching loop. Zepp contains a lot of information and integrates workouts with the wider Amazfit ecosystem. Its navigation can feel crowded, and similarly named readiness metrics are not always explained as clearly as WHOOP’s.
Price and long-term ownership
Core tracking and analysis work without a recurring plan. Optional Connect+ and accessories can raise cost, but they are not required to keep the device useful. The low purchase price and lack of a mandatory subscription make Helio Strap the cost benchmark. Optional software services do not prevent access to the core device data.

Make the choice by behavior.
The better band is the one whose app, charging pattern and cost model you will tolerate for years—not the one with the longest feature list.
